It is reported that Repa dance is a form of dance performed by Tibetan “Repa” artists. On May 20, 2006, the State Council approved its selection into the first group of national intangible cultural heritage items.

“At present, our experience class is free and is open to students four times a week. The best way to pass down the dance which is an intangible cultural heritage item is through living preservation. The display of such dance relies not on scholar's production, but on the interpretation of the dancer’s body, so that students can experience the ethnic cultural sentiments entrusted in this regional dance,” Nyima Drolkar said.
