May 11, 2016 -- The works collection of Nanka Nuobu, a famous Tibetologist in Italy has been published by Qinghai Ethnic Publishing House, which will boost China's Tibetology research.

Nanka Nuobu was born in Deluo County of China's Sichuan Province in 1938. He was recognized as a reincarnation when he was three years old and then went to Bhutan to learn Buddhist scriptures. In 1960, he went to work in Italy, teaching Tibetan and Mongolian language literature there.

The collection is composed of five volumes with over 2.5 million words, covering Tibetan Buddhism, Tibetan culture, medicine and history.

"Apart from some of his already published works, the collection includes some new works unpublished before," said Qi Zhengxian, director of the Qinghai Ethnic Publishing House.

"Nanka Nuobu's unique views on Tibetan ancient history and Bonismo will offer new perspectives for Tibetology research," added Qi.
