Tibetan delegation visits Australia

June 15, 2016--Losang Jamcan, Chairman of Tibet Autonomous Region, led a delegation to Australia for a visit from June 10th to June 13th.
 
In Sydney, Losang held talks with Australian officials including Azalka, the governor representative of New South Wales as well as the minister of Multicultural and Aging Affairs Department, and the mayor representative of Sydney City, Councilor Monte.
 
Losang said that as two major countries in the Asia-Pacific region, China and Australia are important cooperative partners. Tibet has benefited a lot from the Sino-Australian relationship which continuously develops and deepens. The bilateral cooperation in health care, public services, vocational training, and agriculture has greatly promoted the economic and social development of Tibet and linked the two peoples closely together.
 
Tibet is willing to work with New South Wales and Sydney City to expand bilateral exchanges and cooperation in culture, education, tourism and other aspects. Azalka and Monte extended a warm welcome to the delegation, applauded the friendly relations between China and Australia and between the two peoples.
 
In Canberra, the delegation visited some farms and talked with local farmers on agricultural management and operation.
