Dec. 29, 2016 -- In 2008, the Information Office of China's State Council issued a white paper titled "Protection and Development of Tibetan Culture". In 2016, the Tenth Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of Tibet Autonomous Region increases legalization potency dimension on cultural field, reviewes and approves a total of three culture heritage protection laws and regulations in a line, making the intangible cultural heritages in Tibet receive more effective protection and inheritance.
It is reported that special laws have been made to ensure the inheritance of Thangka. Besides, as one of the world cultural heritages, the Potala Palace has been effectively protected and managed according to the Measures for the protection of Potala Palace in Tibet Autonomous Region in 2009.
