Jan. 23, 2018 -- Lulang Town in Nyingchi City in southwest China’s Tibet Autonomous Region has been listed as a National Tourist Resort along with other eight tourist resorts, according to the National Tourism Administration.
So far, only 26 tourist resorts across the country have been approved and Lulang Town is the only one in Tibet.
National tourist resorts have to meet strict requirements such as climate, environment conditions and effective management mechanism.
With an investment of 3.5 billion yuan from Guangdong Province, Lulang Town is the biggest tourism project Tibet has built aided by other provinces.
