Nov. 24, 2017 -- Natural disasters caused by climate change have severe consequences in recent years, making climate change an urgent issue faced by human beings.

China is actively conducting south-south cooperation on climate change to build a green and clean world. “China adheres to peaceful development and build a community of shared future for mankind,” said President Xi Jinping.

During the past five years, China has taken various measures to save energy and improve efficiency. Meanwhile, China takes an active role in international cooperation on climate change. With a number of practical cooperation projects, the south-south cooperation on climate change has become a highlight for deepening mutual trust and achieving a win-win solution.

China is also cooperating closely with the United Nations. In 2004, China offered 6 million US dollars to support Secretary General of the United Nations to promote south-south cooperation on climate change.

Domestically, more and more enterprises are setting goals of carbon emission reduction.
