Located on the Jiangbei Road in Samye Town of Chanang County, the desert park is about an hour's drive from Lhasa along the Tsethang-Konggar high grade highway.

 

The desert park includes ecosystem conservation area, science and technology museum, ecological recreational area and other areas. In addition, on the premise of protecting ecological environment and ecosystem, through using landscape and cultural resources as well as the construction of scenic spots and tourist service facilities, recreation area is built with the purpose of showing the characteristic desert landscape and fun. There are three parts: the desert experience park, photography base and the water park in the recreation area.

 

The experience park which is divided into recreation, cross-country surfing as well as outward bound is located in the middle of the desert park. Besides, the photography base located in the west of the desert park provides the most real and wide space for tourists who love photography and night scene. In addition, the water park located in the south of the desert park also provides various services.

 

According to Zhou Xueliang, director of Chanang County Commission of Tourism Development, the construction of the first phase of the project mainly includes natural scenery, desert bathing, desert motorcycle and other projects. What's more, the project is also an important part of creating the all-for-one tourism of the southeast loop line.

 

According to the construction progress, the first phase of the project will be completed in July next year, and then the second phase will start soon later.
