Chinese President Xi Jinping returned to the snowy plateau on Wednesday, after he visited the Xizang Autonomous Region four years ago, urging officials to build a modern socialist new Xizang that is united, prosperous, civilized, harmonious, and beautiful.
He said to govern, stabilize, and prosper Xizang, it is essential to maintain political stability, social harmony, national unity, and religious peace.
Qi is also among the representatives of the People's Liberation Army whom President Xi met with and joined for a photo session on Wednesday afternoon.

On Thursday, Wang Huning, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, presented a plaque to the Xizang Autonomous Region.
It contains an inscription by President Xi reading "Building a community for the Chinese nation and writing a new chapter for beautiful Xizang."
Jigme Tseten said the Chinese President's trip to Xizang means a lot to the people.
