DEQING Xizang resident "Now, every village has access to roads, has televisions and gets the latest news. Medical care is free for children. Education is free from kindergarten all the way to primary school. How happy our life is now."

TSERING LAM Xizang resident "The central government attaches great importance to Xizang. Last year, there was an earthquake in Dingri County and that place is really remote. But with the help of the central government, the people there have moved into spacious new homes. I really appreciate that."

YU KUN Xizang resident "With the launch of the hydropower project in the lower reaches of the Yarlung Zangbo River and the Sichuan-Xizang Railway, as well as the establishment of the Xinjiang–Xizang Railway Corporation this year, I believe that the development here has the advantage of building momentum gradually and achieving significant results."

BAIMAMEODO Xizang resident "I came from a small county in Lhasa. Eventually, I graduated from Peking University. So, for me, I came from the mountains and got to a broader stage. Now, I have returned to Lhasa, serving my hometown."

GAO ZHENYU Cadre to support Xizang "I am a cadre to support Xizang, and I am happy to have the chance to serve the west of the country. We received the torch passed on by previous generations and now we are making our own contributions."
