July 12,2017--On July 10, medical specialists from 12 hospitals across China came to Bahe Town of Gongbo gyamda County in Tibet’s Nyingchi Prefecture to provide free medical services for local villagers.

There are only one health center and two village clinics in Bahe. These specialists attracted a lot of villagers who wanted to be examined.

“I’m too old and feel uncomfortable all the time. The doctors examined me carefully, gave me some medicines and told me to take them on time,” said 72-year-old Tashi who came from Xiuba village, about five miles away.

Medical services here cannot be expected as the same level with those in developed cities, but efforts will be made to set up long-term mechanism for improving local public health and medical treatment services, according to Li Guo, one of the specialists.
