Aug. 28, 2017 -- On August 11, reporters learned that  a donation ceremony and training courses, organized by the Zhang Xiaolou Ophthalmology Charity Foundation of Beijing Tongren Hospital and the Beijing Jackie Chan Charitable Foundation, were held at the Tibetan Medicine Hospital of southwest China’s Tibet Autonomous Region.

As chairman of the Beijing Jackie Chan Charitable Foundation, Jackie Chan also attended the donation ceremony.

At the ceremony, the Jackie Chan Charitable Foundation donated 2 million yuan (300 thousand USD) to the Zhang Xiaolou Foundation for the development of ophthalmic medical care in Tibet. The Zhang Xiaolou Charity Foundation has appointed Jackie Chan as their spokesperson.

At the end, medical experts from the Beijing Tongren Hospital held training courses for ophthalmologists from the Tibet Tibetan Medicine Hospital including Relation of Eyes With Bodily Diseases， Skills of Phacoemulsification Surgery， and Correct Use of Hormones in Ophthalmology.
