March 3,2020 -- The United Nations (UN) Human Rights Council held a dialogue on a report on the human rights situation of Rohingya people on February 27, 2020.

Liu Hua, special representative for human rights of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, said that China has consistently advocated resolving disputes on human rights through dialogue and cooperation, and called on the UN rights body to take action as soon as possible to settle the issue.

China has put forward a three-step resolution to solve the Rakhine issue, which are to end violence, repatriate people, and promote development, said Liu, calling for Myanmar and Bangladesh to reach an agreement of repatriation through dialogue.

China has provided batches of humanitarian assistance to both Myanmar and Bangladesh, and is willing to help them improve living conditions for the relocated people, Liu added.

Liu also urged the international community to offer more constructive help and make a good international environment for Myanmar and Bangladesh to implement the bilateral repatriation agreement.
