June 15,2018-- China and Switzerland held the 11th dialogue on human rights in Beijing on June 11-12, 2018.
The dialogue was co-chaired by Liu Hua, special representative for human rights of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China and Negri, special envoy for human rights of the Foreign Ministry of Switzerland. Officials responsible for foreign affairs, judiciary, ethnicity, women and the disabled of both parties attended the meeting.
Both sides introduced their new progress in protecting and promoting human rights, and exchanged views on issues including global human rights cooperation, criminal penalty and judicial system, women’s rights, and rights of ethnic minorities and the disabled.
The two sides agreed that this meeting would enhance understanding between the two countries and help handle conflicts and divergence properly.
The Chinese delegation also invited the Swiss delegation to visit the 12385 service hotline for the disabled, Wucailu Center for Children with Autism and China Women’s University.
