June 19,2017--From June 6 to 10, a Tibet delegation of the National People's Congress (NPC) of China conducted a friendly visit to Japan.

Dorje Tsering, leader of the delegation and member of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Tibet Autonomous Region says that the Tibet-related issue is related to China's sovereignty and territorial integrity, involving China's core interests and national feelings. He hopes that the Japanese side would understand the anti-China and separatist nature of the Dalai clique and thus appropriately handle Tibet-related issues from the basis of the overall relationship between China and Japan.

Dorje Tsering stresses that in the more than 50 years since Tibet's peaceful liberation and the founding of the Tibet Autonomous Region, with full support and efforts from the central government, the rest of China, and  all people in Tibet, the region  has broken away from the feudal serfdom system and modernized. At present, various causes in Tibet are thriving, and people of all ethnic groups live and work in peace.

Participants from the Japanese side fully affirmed the Chinese position and said they were ready to push for more exchange and mutual trust between people of the two countries.

During the visit, the delegation also held talks with Japanese scholars, Japanese Chinese professors, and overseas Chinese leaders.
