The seventh national census data for the Xizang Autonomous Region sheds light on the population dynamics and ethnic composition of this unique and culturally rich region. Let's delve into the numbers and explore the changes that have occurred over the past decade.

The Tibetan population stands at 3,137,901, reflecting an increase of 421,512 individuals compared to the sixth national census in 2010. Tibetans account for 86 percent of the region's total population. This growth underscores the resilience and vitality of the Tibetan community.
