July 29,2020 -- The Ecological Agricultural Industrial Park of Gar County, Ngari Prefecture, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region was built in 2011. At present, covering an area of 0.53 km², the park has 161 solar greenhouses and 66 work sheds, and over 60 million yuan RMB has been invested. There are more than 30 kinds of vegetables and fruits planted in the park, including edible fungi, flowers, seedlings, etc. which have effectively stabilized vegetable prices and increased vegetable supply for residents in Shiquanhe Town.

 

 

The park is also equipped with a chicken farm, agricultural products trading hall, cattle and sheep fattening base, talent training room, as well as salix bangongensis and sea-buckthorn seedlings bases of 0.2 km² respectively, providing more convenient services for local farmers and herdsmen.

 

 

After several years of exploration and practice, the Ecological Agricultural Industrial Park of Gar County has become a modern agriculture and animal husbandry base for science and technology demonstration, skill training, vegetable supply, and income increment. Since 2020, over 40 tons of vegetables, fruits and edible fungus have been produced in the park, and the annual output is expected to exceed 1,000 tons. In 2019, the park carried out skill training for about 85 people, and solved 71 poor people's employment, increasing their per capita income by 4,200 yuan RMB. Up to now, a total of 360 people has worked in the park, among which over 300 are from poor households in a community named "Kangle Xinju", accounting for 89%. The labor income has reached 731,600 yuan RMB.
