June 8,2020 -- The eighth season of "Princess Wencheng", a large-scale Tibetan cultural legendary opera, started from June 1st. Its premier show, staged at 8:30 p.m, mainly aimed at expressing the appreciation for the efforts done by medical workers and police officers during the fight against COVID-19. Besides, they enjoy free entry to all plays of this season.

Impressive improvement are made in this season's lighting, costumes and choreography. Epidemic control is a measure of the first importance, bringing a safe and comfortable environment for audiences. Visitor flow is limited; both the interior and exterior of the theater are disinfected; a scientific emergency guarantee is established.

Visitors could buy tickets online or on the ticket window with their ID cards and personal health codes. During every show, each visitor is required to wear mask and keep at least 1.5m distance from another one to avoid gatherings.

Not only a national art essence, "Princess Wencheng" is also a poverty alleviation project. Over the past eight years, it promoted regional economic development and helped local residents get rid of poverty via cultural tourism industry. Thousands of farmers and herdsmen participated in the construction and performance of this big show and received stable income, significantly improving their ways of living and production. This performance season energizes the local cultural tourism market and further consolidates the fruits in poverty alleviation.
