Nagqu water conservancy investment exceeds 3 bln RMB

April 17,2020 -- According to Bureau of Water Resources of Nagqu City, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, during the 13th Five-year Plan (2016-2020), the city's water conservancy investment has increased significantly compared with the past; local water conservancy enters a new period of healthy and rapid development.
 
So far, its water conservancy investment has reached 3.014 billion yuan RMB, which is 2.3 times of the total water conservancy investment during the 12th Five Year Plan. The city implements a large number of projects, including rural drinking water safety, pasturing area water conservancy, flood control and disaster reduction, etc.
 
Meanwhile, Mepatang Reservoir project, the largest water conservancy project in the city, was successfully approved by Development and Reform Commission of Tibet on February 6, 2020. It is also the region's first approved project among the five medium-sized reservoirs in the same batch, further promoting construction of water conservancy infrastructure in the city.
