[China Tibet News/Wang Fei] Jan.7, 2020 -- According to the Tourism Development Department of Tibet Autonomous Region, approved by the members and experts of Tibet Tourism Resources and Planning Committee, 8 scenic spots, namely Tibet Museum of Natural Science, Princess Wencheng Tibetan Culture Garden Scenic Spot, Midui Glacier Scenic Spot, Kardinggou Scenic Spot, Trandruk Temple Scenic Spot, Bomi Red Building Scenic Spot, Yumai Natural and Cultural Scenic Spot, and Xigaze Mt. Qomolangma Modern Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation Expo Park, have reached the evaluation standards of national 4A-level scenic spots. Princess Wencheng Tibetan Culture Garden Scenic Spot is the first national 4A-level scenic spot with the theme of cultural performance.
The Tourism Development Department of Tibet Autonomous Region expresses that the 8 national 4A-level scenic spots that have passed the evaluation should comprehensively and systematically improve tourism functions, and do a good job in the standardized management and refined service of scenic spots, so as to form strong attraction and competitiveness, thus creating good benefits for the development of local tourism.
Up to now, Tibet has 124 scenic spots, including 4 national 5A-level scenic spots, 20 national 4A-level scenic spots, 54 national 3A-level scenic spots, 32 national 2A-level scenic spots and 14 national 1A-level scenic spots.
