New furniture for the upcoming double New Year

Feb. 6, 2019 -- Losar, the traditional Tibetan New Year and the Spring Festival, the traditional Chinese Lunar New Year both fall on Feb. 5, 2019, the same day this year. As the double New Year holiday is drawing near, residents in Lhasa are busy purchasing goods to greet the new year.

A large number of featured new year goods are popular in Lhasa's market, such as ethnic costumes, red lanterns and couplets both in Tibetan and Chinese language. The city is immersed in a strong festive atmosphere. Meanwhile, the demand of the new furniture is increasing, especially Tibetan-style furniture with distinctive carving and unique pattern.
