Dec. 5, 2018 -- With the opening of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway extension line, the number of passengers at all stations in the region has reached a new high. Recently, Nagqu Station sends 1,500 passengers and receives 1,700 in a day and Shigatse Station sends 1,959 passengers and receives 1,875 passengers in a day, among which "office workers" account for 80% of weekend passenger traffic.
In order to better serve the passengers, Lhasa Train Operation Depot has set up automatic ticket machines in Nagqu and Shigatse's City Centers, which provide convenience for passengers to travel. Meanwhile, party members demonstration windows are built in Railway Stations, volunteer services and trilingual service (Tibetan, Chinese and English) are provided. Besides, Nagqu Station has set a medical room to provide free treatment for passengerswith altitude stress and other illness in the waiting room. |
