By the first half of 2017, there are over 5800 mu of tea planting area in Medog County, leading more than 2000 farmers and herdsmen to get employed and increase incomes, according to the State Tax Bureau of Tibet Autonomous Region.

With moderate climate and abundant rainfall, Medog belongs to the subtropical climate. Local government vigorously supports the establishment of Medog Tea Company and positively develops ecological tea industry.

To improve the enthusiasm for tea planting, farmers and herdsmen can enjoy the favorable policy of getting paid if they are engaged in tea planting labor. However, labor invoice must be needed.
