Tibet Yak Museum to reopen on Apr. 18

April 18,2017--In the middle of October 2016, Tibet Yak Museum was closed for the plateau yak culture exhibition held in the Capital Museum. On April 18, it will be reopened.
 
With a total investment of 130 million yuan, Tibet Yak Museum covers an area of 8000 square meters and it has been opened for nearly 3 years. It includes four major theme exhibition halls, namely Gratitude Hall, Yak Exploration Hall, Accompany Hall and Beautiful Yak Hall. It aims to introduce the origin and domestication of yak and yak culture to people in terms of nature and science, history and humanity, as well as spirit and art.
 
Tibet Yak Museum is an anthropology museum that themed on yak and yak culture. In addition, it is a national nonprofit permanent institution. It opens to public for free with the aim of providing services for social development. From April 18, the opening time of Tibet Yak Museum is from 10:00 to 17:30. It opens on the weekend, while it will be closed on Monday.
 
At the same time, workers of Tibet Yak Museum remind the general visitors that all halls of the museum are open for free. Intemperant,disheveled person,as well as any person without disposing capacity or with limited disposing capacity and they are not accompanied by guardians are not allowed to enter into the museum. In addition, everyone should accept the security check. Packages must be deposited before visiting, while valuable belongings should be taken care of by visitors themselves. Smoking is not allowed.
 
Camera shooting is forbidden. Flashlight and tripod are not allowed to use while taking photos. Every one should consciously protect public facilities and maintain good environment.
