New edition Lhasa tourist map published

Oct. 4, 2016 -- Compiled by the Lhasa Travel and Tourism Administration, now there are 20000 copies of new edition hand-drawn Lhasa touristmaps. Next month, hotels and inns can get for free for the maps from the Lhasa Travel and Tourism Administration. On the basis of the old map and being drawn for a year, the new map has been published before the 3rd China Tibet Tourism and Culture Expo.

Tsering Dekyi, a worker of the industrial development division of Lhasa Travel and Tourism Administration, says, “some new content is added to the new edition Lhasa tourist map. To let tourists get the latest tourism news, the map will be updated every year. On the China Tibet Tourism and Culture Expo, we have distributed some maps to tourists for free. Next month, hotels and inns can apply for the maps for free.”

The new edition maps perfect and modify information such as the introduction of Lhasa City, climate, traffic, place logos in both Chinese and English, the introduction of large live show Princess Wencheng and so on. In addition, the introduction of national festivals and knowledge of altitude sickness are also perfected. Apart from downtown Lhasa information, general situation and travel information of Doilungdeqen District, Damxung County, Nyemo County, Linzhou County, Maizhokunggar County, Quxu County, Dagze County are added at the same time. What's more, the whole Tibet's tourism route map is also added. 2 Lhasa circular tour linesand ethnic taboos of Tibet travel are added.
