The exhibition hall of the third China Tibet tourism and culture expo opened to the public on Sep. 11. As an important part of this expo, the exhibition are divided into three parts: culture, industry and performance. Through video, photography, physical display and art show, colorful and diversified Tibetan culture and customs are shown to visitors. In addition, each pavilion has its own characteristics, bringing lots of fun to visitors.

 

At Lhasa pavilion, traditional Tibetan costumes, masks, leather products and other national handicrafts attract many visitors. Besides, pavilion of pure land products, themed as “pure land, pure water, pure air and pure heart”, has more than 1,000 products including beverages, foods and medicines on display.

 

At Nyingchi pavilion, with VR technology, visitors could enjoy beautiful scenery of Lulang International Tourism Town. Highland barley coffee, yak yogurt and other products are shown at Nagqu pavilion.

 

Tourism industry has become a main channel of creating jobs and increasing income for farmers and herdsmen in Tibet that enjoys beautiful nature scenery and unique human landscape. In 2015, Tibet received 20 million tourists, up 23.4 percent year-on-year. The visitors brought 28 billion yuan in tourist revenue. During period of 12th Five-Year Plan, Tibet welcomed 67.89 million tourists in total, generating 87.4 billion yuan in tourist revenue. Tourism has become an important pillar industry in Tibet.

 

Except exhibitions, forums, investment and trade promotion and some new items are added at this expo.  An exhibition of 105 cultural relics selected from the collection of the Potala Palace started on Sep. 12.
