In 2017, Tibet will complete the upgrading work of public digital culture service for 104 towns and 277 villages in Lhasa City and Shigatse City with an investment of 12.13 million yuan. Among which the project will be fully covered in Lhasa City, assisting the 3rd batch of national public cultural service system demonstration area construction work.

 

The upgrading project of public digital culture service in poor areas is a culture poverty alleviation project carried out by the Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Finance. This project integrates national culture information resources sharing project, digital library promoting project, public electronic reading room construction plan and other public digital culture projects. Its main content includes improving rural grassroots service equipment of sharing projects, supplementing digital culture resource storage, smoothing the digital culture resource channels, and enriching service functions. This project aims to solve public digital culture service problems in poor areas through online surfing, downloading, uploading, and offline playback.
