Yak-Themed Culture exhibition to be held in Beijing

Dec.9, 2016 -- The Yak-Themed Culture exhibition hosted by the Yak Museum of Tibet will be held at the Capital Museum in Beijing from December 15 to March 15 of 2017.
 
Tibetan culture is an important part of Chinese culture. Its origin is related to Tibetan people's lives and yaks. Yaks have played an essential role over thousands of years in fields including transportation, agriculture, culture and art.
 
The Yak Museum of Tibet, the world's first yak museum, aims at protecting yak-themed artworks, demonstrating yak-themed culture and reflecting the interdependence of yaks and human being. As one of the key Beijing's Aiding-Tibet projects, the yak museum of Tibet opened on May 18 of 2014. The Yak-Themed Culture exhibition shows the achievements of Aiding-Tibet by exhibiting highland's unique yak culture. The exhibit is free to the public.
