| Sept.28,2016 -- Tibet has started to build its first intangible cultural heritage museum , according to local authorities Monday.
The museum which will cover 60 hectares is funded by Shenzhen municipal government.
Tibet embraces colorful intangible cultural heritages. Now two projects including Gesar singing art and Tibetan opera have been listed as the UN Intangible Heritage Representatives. 89 projects and 68 successors have been listed into the national catalog.
“Tibetan culture is a crucial part of Chinese cultures. The museum will promote the preservation and protection of Tibetan intangible cultural heritage and the development of cultural tourism,” said Guo Guo, deputy party chief of Lhasa.
The museum is expected to open in 2018.
