Oct.21,2019 -- A Tibetan cultural delegation, organized by the State Council Information Office of China and led by Jin Mei Wang Cuo, secretary general of Tibet Autonomous Region International Cultural Exchange Association, visited France from Oct.14th to Oct.17th. The delegation met with members of the French Senate and French National Assembly and visited the European Commission.
The delegation introduced the French legislators to Tibet’s development in people’s living standards, traditional culture protection and freedom of religious belief to reduce misunderstandings on Tibet-related issues.
During the meeting with Giacomo Pros, director of the Division for Human Rights and Rule of Law of the European Commission, the delegation expounded how the human rights of ethnic minorities like Tibetans have been protected in China. Naville, deputy mayor of Strasbourg, expressed hopes to conduct exchanges and cooperation with Tibet.
During the visit, the delegation gave interviews to French reporters and had talks on Tibet with teachers and students from the Digital and Communication Business School of Paris.
