May 22, 2019 -- A Tibetan art history book of over 200,000 words was published Tuesday in Lhasa, capital of southwest China’s Tibet Autonomous Region. The book, Tibetan Art History in the 20th Century, written by Tsewang Tashi, painter and professor at the Art Institute of Tibet University, consists of six chapters involving painting, sculpture, architecture and craft. A large amount of field research materials and precious oral history, texts and photos from Lhasa, Xigaze, Qamdo and Shannan have been collected in this book, most of which are found and quoted for the first time.
