April 10, 2018 -- Tibet Autonomous Region vowed to expand family doctor services across the region, according to a conference on Tibet's health work Wednesday.

A contract-based family doctor project has been piloted in Lhasa, Shigatse, Shannan and Nyingchi. 1.07 million residents joined the contract-based family doctor scheme, covering 34.51 percent of the whole population in Tibet.

This year, Tibet will quicken the establishment of modern hospital management system and expand family doctor services, aiming to realize the full coverage of family doctor services for the impoverished population.
