Tibet continues to improve public cultural services

Jan. 18, 2018 -- Tibet has made great efforts to improve its public cultural services.

In 2017, the region received a total investment of 100.55 million yuan for cultural heritage protection.  City-level libraries, museums and theatres have been built and upgraded.

In addition, 153.12 million was invested in building a public cultural service system and cultural facilities in villages, especially in poverty-stricken areas.

Tibet is expected to be listed as a pilot zone for a public cultural service system, which is approved by the Ministry of Culture.
