The National Tourism Administration and the Poverty Relief Office of the State Council recently released 10 self-driving travel routes in western China.

The 10 routes are selected after factoring in their scenery, accessibility, effects on poverty alleviation and high popularity.

The towns along the routes are building tourism infrastructures.

The 10 routes recommended by the authorities will boost local economy and expand market for local products, said an official from the tourism development committee of Nyingchi.
