Over the past decade, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region has given high priority to poverty alleviation, taking measures to improve living and working conditions. With the conclusion of the 20th CPC National Congress, residents there have shared their experiences.

TSERING CHOETSO Party Chief of Naxingtang Community Naqu City, Tibet Autonomous Region "The report to the 20th CPC National Congress says China has realized the first centenary goal of eradicating absolute poverty and building a moderately prosperous society in all respects. It's one of the country's major achievements over the past decade that bears practical and far-reaching historical significance. I have a deep feeling about it.

"People in Naxingtang Community used to live elsewhere, under great poverty. They had very limited annual income. But since they relocated, the government has provided them with many job opportunities, and their income has been greatly improved.

"Under the Party's leadership, people here have all been lifted out of poverty. They are now living inside spacious and comfortable houses, with improved services like education, medical care and transportation. We will continue to work at the grassroots level, develop a collective economy, and help the people here live a happier life."

A PHU Resident of Naxingtang Community Naqu City, Tibet Autonomous Region "Over the past ten years, we have been able to live in a clean and bright residential apartment, and life is very convenient. We have clean tap water to drink, and our homes are equipped with modern heating systems. We do not need to burn coal or cow dung like we did before. It's also very convenient for us to see a doctor and send our kids to school.

"Under a series of favorable policies, we have led a good life. With the conclusion of the 20th CPC National Congress, we firmly believe that under the leadership of Xi Jinping, our life will become better and happier. We should take practical actions to support the Party."
