Little snow leopard rescued in Tibet

March 26, 2019 -- A young snow leopard has been rescued by the Forestry and Grassland Bureau of Linzhou County in Lhasa, Tibet Autonomous Region. 

The leopard is raised at a zoo in Qushui County currently. It is eight months old, weighs 22.5 kg and is in healthy condition. 

The leopard will be released into the wild when it is able to survive on its own. 

It was picked up by a villager in Linzhou County while grazing his herd and was mistakenly taken home as a normal kitten.
