  • Feb. 21, 2019 -- On December 28, 2018, an exhibition themed “Representative of the National Government-Liu Manqing’s Heroic Deeds” opened at the Tibetan Culture Museum in Beijing. Photo shows a portrait of Liu Manqing in the exhibition hall.
  • Feb. 21, 2019 -- In July 1929, Liu Manqing, then a first-class clerk in the Civil Service of the National Government, volunteered to go to Tibet to resume direct contact between the Central Government and Tibet. Liu Manqing, also known as Yongjin, was born in Lhasa in the year 1906. She graduated from Beijing National Normal School and was fluent in many languages, including Chinese, Tibetan, and English. Photo shows an image in the exhibition hall showing Liu Manqing (front row, fourth from left), her sister, Liu Manyun (front row, second from left), and Kelsang Tsering (back row, second from left), at the wedding of Liu Manyun and Kelsang Tsering.
