Oct. 26, 2016 -- Junko Tabei, famous Japanese mountaineer died of cancer at the age of 77 on Oct.20, 2016.
With a height of 1.5 meters, she is the first woman to ascent the Mt. Qomolangma in 1975.
Junko Tabei was diagnosed with cancer four years ago but she didn’t give up climbing, according to Japan’s NHK on Monday.
Tabei is a super fan of mountaineering and she participated in a lot of activities to call for protecting the ecological environment of the Mount Everest.
