GUANGZHOU, March 19,2020 -- More communication and cooperation are needed for the fight against the coronavirus, said Zhong Nanshan, renowned Chinese respiratory specialist, at a press conference Wednesday.

 

"We hope that countries in the world can share research and technologies on vaccine development, virus transmission routes, diagnosis methods and treatment plans so that we can win the battle against the coronavirus sooner," said Zhong, who played an important role in China's fight against COVID-19 and SARS back in 2003.

 

He also said that early prevention, early diagnosis and early quarantine have proved effective, adding that every country in the world should take action to fight the coronavirus.
