Feb.24,2020 -- China’s Supreme People’s Procuratorate(SPP) vowed to ramp up efforts to strengthen protection of juveniles in prosecutorial work, especially the protection of juvenile victims.

Timely legal aid for juvenile victims and their families should be provided, and coordination platforms to solve conflicts between both parties of the case should be put in place, according to the SPP.

The SPP also stressed the need to build "one-stop" areas for inquiry, assistance and case handling to reduce the possibilities of secondary harm to juvenile victims by repeated or improper inquiries.

The SPP will join hands with the Ministry of Public Security and All China Women’s Federation to make sure all cities in China set up at least one such area by the end of 2020.
