Oct.31,2019-- Rybakov, representative of Belarus, applauded the measures on counterterrorism and deradicalization in northwest China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in a speech Tuesday on behalf of 54 countries at the third committee of the United Nations General Assembly. .

No terrorist or violent incident ever occurred in the region in the past 3 years, and the basic human rights of all ethnic groups have been well protected, said Rybakov.

China invited foreign ambassadors, officials of international organizations and reporters to visit Xinjiang to help them learn more about the region’s human rights development and its practice on counterterrotism and deradicalization. He called on other countries that had never visited Xinjiang to stop baseless accusations against China. We vigorously oppose politicizing the human rights issue.

Representatives of over 30 countries such as Pakistan and Russia also spoke highly of China’s human rights achievements at the meeting. They lent their support to Xinjiang’s counterterrorism measures and oppose any interference in other country's internal affairs on the pretext of human rights.
