By:Xinhua
update:October 22,2019
Oct.22,2019-- China will launch a campaign to combat bullying and violence in middle and primary schools across the country, according to a circular recently issued by the State Council.

Local education and public security authorities are asked to immediately carry out screening of potential risks, step up analysis and research of the characteristics of bullying and violence among students, and keep in close touch with parents for joint prevention, according to the circular.

Special attention will be paid to regions and schools that have seen numerous reports of bullying or violence as well as provinces that have come under the spotlight online for such cases, the circular said.

Schools are also required to establish long-term preventative systems, including education on ethics, the legal system and psychological health, as well as daily security work on and around campus.
