June 20, 2018 -- A delegation from the China Foundation for Human Rights Development, led by its president Huang Mengfu, visited Lithuania from June 16 to June 18.
Huang, former vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, gave an introduction of China's economic and social development as well as the latest progress in human rights. Huang said China’s reform and opening up has brought great changes to China and the world. China will build a moderately well-off society in an all-round way and eliminate poverty completely by 2020. China is willing to cooperate with other countries to build a community with a shared future for mankind and improve global human rights governance.
The Lithuanian side spoke highly of China’s achievements in economic and social development and China’s important role in international affairs. They hope to learn from China’s practices and experience and tap the potential for bilateral cooperation in various fields.
