May 18,2018--Wu Yingjie, party chief of Tibet and Luosang Jiangcun, director of the Standing Committee of Tibet Autonomous Regional People’s Congress, met with a Ukraine delegation in Lhasa.

Wu expressed warm welcome to the delegation, and spoke highly of the China-Ukraine cooperation and friendship and the Ukrainian government’s firm stick to the one-China policy.

In the old Tibet under a system of feudal serfdom, 95 percent of Tibetan people were serfs and lived an extremely miserable life. In 1958, Tibet achieved peaceful liberation under the leadership of the CPC. Since then, Tibetan people have started their journey towards happiness, Wu said.

Tibet has made great progress in just a few decades. I hope this visit will enable you to see a true Tibet with your own eyes, said Wu.
