Jan. 16, 2017 -- To crack down on illegal and criminal activities such as illegal hunting, as well as buying and selling rare and endangered wild animals and their products, by cooperating with Ngari and Nagqu forest polices, the Forest Public Security Bureau of Tibet Autonomous Region will carry out a 30-day special activity to protect Tibetan antelopes.
Centering around Qiangtang national natural reserve area and its surrounding regions, this activity mainly patrols migration channels and movement areas of wild animals including Tibean antelopes and migratory birds. In addition, it will management counties, towns, and villages with prominent wildlife products trading phenomenon. Besides, propagandas will also be conducted in villages with a wide distribution of wild animals.
