July 10,2020 -- Tsinghua University, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, University of Science and Technology Beijing, it's hard to imagine that a single mother has cultivated three famous university students.

63-year-old Yudron, a villager from Tagyu in Ngamring County of Xigaze City, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, has 3 sons and 1 daughter, currently lives in a rental house in Xigaze's Sandruptse District.

Yudron's rental room is less than 20 m2, with 6 folding beds, 2 tables full of all kinds of books and several notebooks crammed with study notes.

The wall on the side of the door is full of schedules of orderly life, learning arrangements and motivational words.

Here comes the story of Yudron's family.

Tagyu, with an average altitude of more than 4,000 m, was a typical village of high-altitude dry farming. Subjected to climate change, its weather-dependent lifestyle had been labelled poor.

Born in a poor family of aged parents and a sister in poor health, Yudron dropped out of school in the sixth grade of primary school and went home to farm, which became her lifelong regret.

When she came of age, she married in Gyangze County, giving birth to 3 sons and 1 daughter. After divorcing with her husband, in order to let the children receive better education, Yudron alone with her  4 children began to travel from place to place to study.

"When I was young, I tasted the bitter fruit of being uneducated. No matter how poor and how hard I am, it's a mother's obligation to let my children go to college and change their fate through knowledge." Yudron expresses the original intention.

In 2003, in order to provide better educational resources for her children, with the help of her relatives, Yudron moved with her four children to study at Lhasa Shol Primary School and Jebumgang Primary School, and made a living by taking part-time jobs.

Living in the city is expensive, in 2005, Yudron contacted Quxu County's Nyetang Township, transferred her children to Nyetang Central Primary School. Thus, Yudron fell down in Nyetang Township, set up a canteen at the school gate with her only 300 yuan RMB and money borrowed from relatives and friends.

In 2008, they returned to Xigaze again, Yudron set up a stall selling trinkets on a pedestrian street, living on incomes ranging from 10 to dozens of yuan a day.

Due to so little money and no time to cook, one ham sausage and two steamed buns were often the lunches for 4 children.

Her good children always helped her as soon as they had time, and were all determined to study hard and live up to mother's pains.

In 2010, under the help of relevant departments of Ngamring County, Yudron got a low-interest loan of 50,000 yuan RMB. Life has improved a bit with the opening of a canteen next to Xigaze No.1 Senior High School.

Her children brought their pieces of good news one after another: in June 2016, Jigme Gonnar was admitted to University of Science and Technology Beijing, Sonam to Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics; in June 2017, Rigdzin Qusum was admitted to Tsinghua University.

Looking at the children's good results in study, all sorts of feelings welled up in Yudron's mind, "so many years of hard working are not in vain, everything is worth it!"

Mother's good words and deeds helping children to establish self-confidence and self-improvement characters, sensible and affectionate children loving each other and working together to create a beautiful family, maybe these are the secret to success.

Meanwhile, Yudron says that success is due to the good policies of the Party and the state. Without good educational policies, cheap loans to the needy, and the party and the government's care to help, her children simply couldn't get through school.

Currently, her little daughter is concentrating on preparing for next year's college entrance examination, with Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics as the goal…

Looking forward to a better future, Yudron's family is full of joy. They firmly believe that knowledge changes fate, and the future will be better and better.
