|Dec.5,2017--On Dec. 1, the Lhoka Yarlung Commodity Fair was kicked off at the Kartog Neighborhood Committee of Changzhu Town, Nedong District, Lhoka City, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region.
Nearly 4000 merchants from Tibet and other places took part in the fair and there were more than 680 kinds of goods which total value reached nearly one hundred million yuan.
"This commodity fair can effectively promote the circulation of commodities, expand social consumption, increase the income of the masses, and boost economic development," said Mou Yongwen,deputy mayor of Lhoka City, "Yarlung Commodity Fair is an important platform for goods trading, cultural communication and emotional integration."
Yarlung Commodity Fair can be dated back to 1981. Up to now, it has been held for 36 sessions. After years of development, it has become an important way to promote the development of agricultural and pastoral areas, expand consumption, invigorate economy, and increase the income of farmers and herdsmen.
