Nov. 15, 2017 -- In the first three quarters of this year, Tibet's total import and export value reached 4.728 billion yuan, a year on year increase of 22.1%. Among which, the export value was 2.132 billion yuan, decreasing 2.5%. While the import value was 2.596 billion yuan, increasing 54.1%. The trade deficit was 464 million yuan, decreasing 7.4%.

This year, Tibet's foreign trade structure was gradually optimized and general trade became major trade mode of foreign trade. In the first three quarters, the import and export value of general trade was 2.999 billion yuan, increasing 80.5% and accounting for 63.4% of Tibet's total import and export value.

With the reform of customs clearance integration, the efficiency of customs clearance was obviously enhanced. In addition, the market vitality of enterprises was released ceaselessly and international competitiveness of private enterprises was improved continuously, which play an important role in promoting the sustainable and healthy development of Tibet's foreign trade.
