At present, there are 4 water plants and 8 booster pump stations in Lhasa City. The daily water supply capacity is over 300000 tons. Though all the water supply facilities are working continuously, there are still water supply problems in some areas. Therefore, it is extremely urgent to improve the  operating efficiency of urban pipelines.

 

With the development of education city, the number of citizens and students nearby also increases. As a result, the problem of water supply pressure emerges, too. To solve this issue, emergency water plant in this area will be put into use recently. The daily water supply capacity of this plant is planed to be 12000 tons.

 

To guarantee the normal operation of pipelines in winter, daily management work is strengthened. Special people are arranged to check, patrol and maintain pipelines and fire-fighting equipment every day.
