China's Tibet comes on top of economic indicators growth in H1

Aug.9, 2016 -- According to Tibet Autonomous Region's Government, the regional GDP growth in Tibet has increased 10.6 percent in the first half of this year, which is 3.9 percent higher than the national average level and makes Tibet rank the first with Chongqing City in the county. The per capita disposable income growths of rural resident and urban resident increase 11.7 percents and 10.4 percents representively, both of which rank first in the country. 
 
Since the begining of this year, Tibet has been vigorously promoting the structural reform of supply side, reinforcing the economic operation and accelerating the implementation schedule of the Thirteenth-Five Year Plan. Data show that the growths of the major economic indicators, such as fixed assets investment, total retail sales of consumer goods, disposable personal income of rural residents, disposable personal income of urban residents and so on, all rank front row in the country. The economic growth and quality efficiency in Tibet has raised significantly.
 
As the begining year of the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan", the economy of Tibet Autonomous Region has maintained steady and relatively rapid development momentum with a rising economic development quality in the first half of 2016. The regional GDP reaches 47.196 billion yuan RMB, 1.5 percent higher compared with that of last year.
 
With the economy's fast growing, Tibet also put forth effort to ensure and improve people's wellbeing as well as put more financial resources into the people's livelihood construction field.  Various works relevent to poverty alleviation start orderly, which has completed an investment of over two billion yuan RMB.
