Tibet Library opens to the public

June 3, 2016 -- After the expansion project, Tibet Library reopens to the public on the first day of June. The reading environment becomes more comfortable. Besides, it is more convenient for readers to borrow books from library.
 
Tibet Library has an e-reading room, a periodical room, reading rooms and outdoor leisure reading zone. The e-reading room equipped with 60 machines has two zones for children and adults respectively. Six computers are available for adult readers to search and write. The periodical room that can hold over 200 readers provides more than 1,000 magazines. Library workers will renew periodicals regularly. With the accommodation of more than 150 readers, the reading room has sofas, desks and other facilities, making a cozy and quiet environment for reading. Currently, the reading room for children has 18,888 books and there will be more new children's books in the future.
